Cultural District Sidewalk Repair Plan Meeting

         I.      The financial estimate for repairs is much greater than the current money allocated; therefore, this effort will not solve all problems. The repairs are outlined on the enclosed map by colors and are to begin before July of this year.

       II.      Gordon - Phillips was the winning bidder. They have done this type of work successfully for the city in the past. They will do everything to insure that all businesses and residents are comfortable and pedestrians accommodated.

     III.      Repointing is $8.00 per Sq.Ft. Replacement is $18.00 per Sq.Ft. Whole Base Repair is $27.00 per Sq.Ft.

     IV.      The new pavers are the same brick that was used for the original.

       V.      The term of the contract is for one year with an option for two more at the city’s choice. If more money is raised then the option will be exercised..

     VI.      Any discussion and action on assessment districts or any other fund raising ideas would help keep the repairs up to date for the future. Without further financial resources the same problem could occur.
