Meeting Minutes

Attendance:  43 Members, 6 guests
Introduction: Vincent R. Felder our representative for the 22nd Legislative District.
Meeting Minutes:  January’s Meeting Minutes were not posted to the web site.
Announcement of Reception:  To be held immediately after at the Suzanne Gouvernet’s.
Presentation by Veterans Outreach Center and Conifer Development:  Todd Baxter gave a brief history and overview of  the VOC’s mission.  Conifer Development presented their proposed plan for a housing facility at the corner of Delevan and Scio Streets giving preference to veterans.  They fielded and answered many of our questions regarding the project hoping to get a letter of support from our organization.
Treasurer’s Report:  Current balance is $4071.81.
Vote Taken:  A vote to send a Letter of Support for Conifer Development’s VOC Project, with our concerns/hopes stated, was passed by a large majority.
Request for Donation:  In January Michael Patterson, our City Council Representative appealed to the generosity of our neighborhood for a donation to the Collective Action Project. .Jim Martin presented us with their wish list.  Chris Wittman generously offered to fund 2 field trips to RIT for the group.  It was then decided that rather than donate funds from our treasury that individuals can send donations to Rich McGrath or Jack Eisenberg and then a check would be cut from GPA in the amount of the donations received.
Security/Safety:  Barb Wager reports there has been no serious crime in our neighborhood. Counters will be set out at the end of Windsor to determine the need for speed bumps. The safety concerns around the day care drop off area at Windsor and Main will hopefully be resolved when Main Street is reconfigured.
Suzanne Mayer reported that 146 University is for sale and that the city now owns 150 University.
Max at Eastman Place now features Eastman Students performing Jazz on Fridays from 9-11.

Respectfully Submitted,
Kim Pond
Secretary
